Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) is marking 15 years of motor trade support for Chestnut Tree House as it prepares to host its annual charity used car auction on 23rd March at 2pm.
Since the initiative began in 2011, SVA and the motor trade community have raised an incredible £348,600 for the West Sussex-based children’s hospice.
Now, in this landmark 15th edition, SVA is aiming to raise more than ever – targeting over £50,000 in a single week, which would take the total contributions to £400,000.
Dealers, suppliers and customers from across the industry are being encouraged to donate unwanted used cars, vans and quality auction prizes, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the charity. To further boost fundraising efforts, SVA will once again donate an additional £250 for every vehicle donated and sold.
Over the years, the annual auction has become a standout event in the south coast automotive calendar, becoming a powerful example of the motor trade uniting behind a single cause.
The funds raised help Chestnut Tree House continue to provide vital care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions across Sussex and southeast Hampshire, both at its Arundel hospice and in families’ homes. Services include hydrotherapy, multi-sensory activities, respite care and specialist nursing support, and with operating costs exceeding £16,000 per day, sustained support remains critical.
