Selling guide

The purpose of the auctioneer is to match a willing vendor with a willing purchaser and to achieve this we market our sales in many different ways to attract the right buyers.

Selling

For best results simply bring your vehicle to the auction, or take advantage of our collection service, complete an entry form and hand over the V5 registration document, MOT if applicable and any service history or bills you may have.

We offer trade and private vehicles with an End of Sale Trial, which allows the purchaser one hour from the end of the sale in which to check and test the vehicle for any major mechanical faults not declared at the time of sale. This is carried out under the supervision of our nominated vehicle tester.

If you want a Free valuation of your vehicle please send us your details and we will aim to get back to you within 24 hours.

Fleet Operator’s Guide to Vehicle Disposal

Fleet vehicles and plant equipment represent millions of pounds worth of assets across local authorities, public sector organisations and emergency services. As such, meticulous management of the disposal of these assets is vital.

Best practice in the public sector requires stringent adherence to corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies to provide accountability, openness, traceability and transparency. Along with this, when it comes to de-fleeting and remarketing, those responsible for fleets need to ensure that the most cost effective, efficient and user-friendly channels are employed to maximise returns.

From experience, we know that strong partnerships form the cornerstone of this process. At SVA we satisfy each of these necessities, all supported by our personal approach, to ensure our business partners receive the most appropriate bespoke service.

We have produced this guide for those responsible for the disposal of ex-fleet vehicles and plant, to highlight the key criteria involved in the process of remarketing. We certainly hope it helps to clarify and support your de-fleeting and remarketing activity and would encourage you to contact us directly with any queries or to discuss your specific requirements.
