SVA backs Kent racer Nathan Edwards in Mini Challenge Trophy

Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) is sponsoring Pembury, Kent based racing driving Nathan Edwards with his 2020 bid in the Mini Challenge Trophy race series.

The move signals the start of another chapter in the long-term partnership which has seen SVA support Nathan in his previous racing endeavours including last season’s racing in the Renault UK Clio Cup.

The Mini Challenge Trophy supports selected rounds of the UK’s Premier racing series the British Touring Car Championship, which also means races are broadcasted LIVE on ITV4 as part of the BTCC coverage.

Alex Wright, managing director of SVA, said, ‘It’s great to be able to continue to support Nathan with his racing aspirations. There is a lot of time, energy and, of course, cost associated with motor racing so to play a role in helping a very dedicated young individual fulfil their ambitions is very rewarding indeed.

‘And there is no denying, when it all goes according to plan it’s also obviously great to see the SVA name up ‘in lights.’

Nathan who will switch teams to run with multi race and championship winning team Excelr8 Motorsport said, ‘I would like to thank SVA once again for continuing to support me, this time in the Mini Challenge Trophy. I really appreciate, despite these difficult times, their continued partnership into our 8th season together.

‘Alex and the team have been extremely supportive over the years and they really understand just how much racing means to me and my family who work very hard to get me out racing. Let’s hope we can get some success this season to repay their loyalty.’

Nathan, a qualified race instructor, started racing at the age of 14 in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship before progressing to the BRSCC Fiesta Championship, then onto the Renault UK Clio Cup.
