Alex Wright
Managing Director
Owner and Managing Director Alex Wright bought Shoreham Vehicles Auctions in 2010. Alex is a well known figure in the industry having worked for Manheim Auctions for 15 years in varying roles, most recently as Commercial Director.
Michael Simmons
Auction Manager / Senior Auctioneer
Michael started his Auction career in 1996 at Manheim Wimbledon, working his way up from Part Time Sales Driver. He quickly established himself as main Auctioneer and with his eye for service levels and detail became Operations Manager, overseeing transport, yard and auctioneers.
Michael’s responsibilities at Shoreham Vehicle Actions include auctioneering and valuations, actions administration and trade dealer customer care.
Alan Agate
Operations Director
Alan started in the Vehicle Auction business in 1974 at Central Motor Auctions in South London as Assistant Manager/Trainee Auctioneer. 36 years on Alan remains in an Operational role at SVA and remains very hands on ensuring high levels of service are maintained.
Alan and his team are always available to talk to customers and with unrivalled industry experience can guarantee they will find the right solutions to meet the needs of vendors and buyers alike.
Catherine Stone
Business Development Manager
Catherine has been with Shoreham Vehicle Auctions for some 9 years previously working in sales for a prominent local radio station. She manages to combine strong administrative skills with great customer care and customer facing qualities making her the perfect Business Development and Customer Account Manager. Catherine is currently focusing on the Dealer Development.
Richard Dalwood
Transport Allocator
Richard started his career at Barclays, in the bank’s marketing division. Following this he joined a partnership with his father running the family bakery business. After deciding the world of baked goods was not for him, Richard found his calling at Shoreham Vehicle Auctions. Since he joined in October 2010 as a Sale Driver he has been promoted to Transport Allocator due to his specialism in vehicle delivery and logistics. Richard is responsible for the day to day management of vehicle delivery for SVA, ensuring vehicles are moved from vendors across the country efficiently and safely.
Kevin Strudwick
Branch Accountant
Kevin takes responsibility for all financial matters within the auction overseeing everything from cashiers to customer / supplier payments. He is completely approachable to any enquiry whatever it’s nature and always sees it through to the end! After obtaining his AAT Certificate with a firm of Chartered Accountants Kevin has held some high profile Financial Controller positions, his Auction career began in the early 1990’s resulting in an in depth knowledge of the business from the floor to final accounts.
